SIA HobbySet informs individuals about video surveillance by placing visual warning signs in clearly visible locations.
The legal basis for personal data processing is:
Categories of personal data include: image of a person and their actions (appearance, behavior), location of the recording (premises, camera location), and time of recording (date, time, start and end of the recording).
Persons located within the range of video surveillance cameras (Controller’s employees, customers, visitors, external service providers such as waste collection companies, and other individuals).
Video surveillance data may be disclosed to law enforcement authorities, as well as state and municipal institutions, including state security authorities, the прокуратure, and courts, upon request or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims and for obtaining evidence, as well as to operational authorities, detectives, and persons providing legal, security, or other outsourced services to SIA HobbySet.
Video surveillance data are not transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, nor to any international organizations.
The retention period depends on the intensity of recording (motion detection) and the storage capacity of the recording equipment. However, video recordings are stored for no longer than 2 months, unless the recording contains evidence of potentially unlawful activity or actions that may help protect the legitimate interests of SIA HobbySet or third parties. In such cases, the recording may be retained until the completion of the protection of the relevant legal interest.
The Regulation provides data subjects with specific rights regarding the processing of personal data. As the Controller does not aim to identify individuals during video surveillance, when exercising rights under the Regulation (e.g., the right of access), the Controller may request additional information to identify the individual in the recordings (e.g., a photograph).
Due to the nature of video surveillance, some rights may be limited, such as the right to rectification of personal data.

SIA HobbySet processes personal data in compliance with the Regulation and applicable European Union and Latvian legislation. If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Data State Inspectorate or to a court.
SIA HobbySet does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling based on personal data obtained through video surveillance.
